Activity 1
Project management
This activity concerns the organisation of the management of the implementation of the cooperation project by shaping the project team of each LAG and establishing and delimiting the tasks, coordinating between the six partner LAGs in all aspects concerning the project, carrying out project procurement, maintaining communication with partners, providing consultancy for the implementation of the cooperation project, financial auditing of expenditure and settlement of payments.
This activity will be carried out in the territories of GAL Covurlui, GAL „Eremia Grigorescu 1863 Galati”, GAL Valea Prutului, GAL LEADER Colinele Moldovei , LGD „ZIELONY SZLAK NIZINY MAZOWIECKIEJ” and Stowarzyszenie LGD „MORAWSKIE WROTA” for the benefit of the six partner LAGs and all other project participants. (associations, public administrations, population, etc.).
Activity 2
Making the necessary investments to carry out the activities of the cooperation project
This activity involves the purchase of equipment, specialised means of transport and/or machinery, stands/shorts required in the implementation of the cooperation project.
Activity 3
Production of promotional materials necessary to promote and/or implement the objectives and actions of the cooperation project
This activity is divided into the following sub-activities:
3.1 Design, editing and printing of posters and/or leaflets giving an overview of all actions of the cooperation project.
3.2 Design, editing and printing of posters and/or leaflets to promote the project actions.
These materials will be used to inform and promote the objectives and actions of the project to the general public in a transparent and non-discriminatory way. The leaflets will be distributed in the LAG territories and the posters will be displayed at the LAG headquarters and at the offices of the partner town halls. At the same time, the same information included in the promotion materials will also be published on the LAG websites.
3.3 Production of promotional materials necessary for the implementation of the cooperation project actions:
This action will be carried out by the LAG project team in collaboration with external providers and will be carried out on the LAG territories in order to inform the partners involved in the project and the public.
Partners from Poland will promote the project by making postcards, balloons, cups.
Activity 4
Organising an exchange of experience and common good practice
This activity concerns the organisation of an exchange of experience and common good practices, which will take the form of a visit that all four partner LAGs from Romania will make to the territory of the LAGs in Poland.
Activity 5
Conduct information sessions in schools based on the activity schedule of each LAG
This activity aims at shaping the future citizen able to form an objective point of view on the surrounding reality, to incite him/her to participate, thus becoming aware of the future and of the fact that the life of tomorrow’s generations depends to a large extent on his/her choices.
More concretely, the activity aims at sustainable development within the partner territories in this cooperation project, i.e. it promotes the concept of reconciling economic and social progress without endangering the natural balance.
Activity 6
Organising greening actions within the LAG territories
This action aims to raise awareness among young people and adults about their role in the community and to encourage them to volunteer in the field of environmental protection.
During the implementation of the project, each partner LAG, both Romanian and Polish LAGs will undertake various greening actions in their territories.
These greening actions are much needed, as the pollution of Romanian waters with pet litter is well known. According to studies, more than 50 billion pet litter is thrown away worldwide every year, and only one in six is recycled. Water pollution affects the quality of life on a global scale. Water is the source of life for all living organisms. However, the quality of the water has increasingly started to deteriorate due to physical, chemical and bacteriological changes.
The activity will be prepared by the staff of the partner LAGs, it will be carried out by each LAG in its own territory but also jointly and will benefit the partner LAGs, the population of the territories of the six LAGs.
Activity 7
Establishing common methodology to extract and analyse information from the territory
In the framework of this activity a common working methodology will be established on the basis of which the six partner LAGs in the cooperation project will identify, collect and analyse information from the territory on the elements they will include in a computer application aimed at promoting the territories from a tourist and environmental point of view.
The methodology will be discussed by the partners and will be common to all six territories covered by the project. The purpose of establishing it is to gather qualitative information to complement the quantitative data available on elements related to: environmental heritage, tourist attractions, accommodation and restaurants, tourist trails, good environmental practices, flora and fauna, etc.
Activity 8
Identifying routes/trails to cycle
During this activity, a minimum of 5 routes will be identified in each LAG that can be cycled and that can be used to be entered in the computer application that will be created as well as a common route on which cycling actions will be organized.
The identification of these routes will be done by a team of experts specialised in the field and experienced in establishing the most appropriate routes, supported by the partner LAG teams, in order to make them practicable.
Activity 9
Development of a shared web and mobile phone application with elements related to heritage and local identity
Development of a shared mobile phone and web application with elements related to environmental heritage, tourist attractions, accommodation and restaurants, tourist trails, good environmental practices, flora and fauna, etc., by entering information collected from the territory.
The aim of this activity is to implement an application that will help to develop tourism and therefore the local economy within the LAG territories partner in the cooperation project.
The mobile app will be available for the following platforms for Smartphones or Tablets:
- iOS: will be downloadable by Apple mobile devices (iPhone + iPad) from the App Store.
- Android: worldwide, but especially at national level, it is the most widespread platform as a multitude of brands use this operating system created by Google. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play app store.
Activity 10
Online advertising to increase the visibility of the website and the software application
This activity involves organising an online campaign to promote the website and mobile phone application, the documentary film promoting tourism in the area, and/or the various activities carried out (cycling activities) using the internet and/or social networks. Various types of online campaigns can be organised:
- Google Search – search campaign involving ads on google.ro based on keywords searched;
- Google Display – display campaigns involving text and image ads on Google’s network of partner sites;
- Gmail ADS – personalized email advertising in your Gmail inbox
- Youtube – campaign involving the promotion of videos on the Youtube channel
Activity 11
Cycling actions
Three of the partner LAGs (Covurlui, Eremia Grigorescu 1863 Galati and LEADER Colinele Moldovei) will organise 10 cycle tours to explore the LAG territories, on routes established by the experts involved. They will identify objectives and bring to light special areas of the territories, museums, churches, monasteries, monuments, archaeological sites, etc.. According to the information provided by experts and participants, a common route will be established later, covering the territory of GAL Eremia Grigorescu 1863 Galati and GAL Covurlui. It will be entered into the common mobile phone application.
The participants will come from both the LAG territories where the cycle route takes place and outside. Also, on the occasion of this activity, representatives (technical team/pupils/local actors) of partner LAGs from outside Romania will be able to come to Romania.
Each LAG will organise its own actions in the territory in the form of: cycle touring activities to get to know the tourism potential of the LAG, actions with school pupils. The pupils’ participation will be coordinated by a teacher designated by each participating school.
Bicycles purchased under the project will be made available to all those registered for the action, regardless of social category.
The activity is carried out for the benefit of the partner LAGs and the population in general.
Activity 12
Joint action to promote tourism in the territories
This activity involves the following steps:
- A common strategy will be developed and used to prepare a promotion package for the territories, which will be made available to interested tourist agencies.
- Design and printing of the brochure.
- Making a joint video presenting the territories.
This activity will be carried out by the project teams of the partner LAGs in the cooperation project in collaboration with outsourced experts, for the benefit of the partner LAGs, the LAG territories and the population in general. It will be available at the tourist information centre and at the LAGs’ offices.
Activity 13
Establishment of a tourist information and environmental information centre
It will be produced at the GAL Eremia Grigorescu 1863 Galati headquarters, but will contain information from all six partner territories in the cooperation project.
One or two rooms will be set up, where there will be various photos of tourist attractions in the territories, posters/leaflets with information on environmental protection, the final brochure, videos made by children, etc.
There will also be a desk/space where digital totems will be available for tourists/interested people/copies where they can view information on the LAG territories, videos, games related to the LAG territories or environmental protection.
In this centre you will be able to view photos from all the events and activities carried out in the cooperation project. It can also be called the „business card” of the partners.
This activity will be carried out by the project teams of the partner LAGs in the cooperation project for the benefit of the partner LAGs, the LAG territories and all those interested.
Activity 14
Creation of a project website
A project website will be developed, which will be common to all six LAGs partnering in the cooperation project.
The website will be produced by the Covurlui LAG, but will contain information on all territories, such as:
- General information about LAG territories
- Information on all project activities to be carried out
- Information about the project actions after their implementation
- Videos, photos, etc.
This activity will be carried out by the project teams of the partner LAGs in the cooperation project in collaboration with outsourced experts, for the benefit of the partner LAGs, the LAG territories and stakeholders.
Activity 15
Dissemination of project results
As part of this activity, various promotional materials will be designed, edited and printed containing information on the results of the cooperation project.
Thus, posters, leaflets and a final brochure with the results of the cooperation project actions will be produced.
These materials will be used to disseminate the results of the project to the general public in a transparent and non-discriminatory way. The leaflets and the brochure will be distributed in the LAG territories and the posters will be displayed at the LAG offices and at the offices of the partner municipalities. At the same time, the same information included in the promotion materials will be published on the LAG websites.
